The Life Teen Podcast is attached. Readings for the Third Sunday of Lent: Ex 20:1-17 or Ex 20:1-3,7-8, 12-17; Ps 19:8,9,10, 11; 1 Cor 1:22-25; Jn 2:13-25.
“God does not give us the Commandments to restrict us: God gives them to us to free us. Freedom is not about doing whatever we want to do. Freedom is the ability to choose rightly: to choose well. If you and I trust God we will not die and we will not falter. We will never go wrong by trusting God. There is a way God wants us to live in communion with him. Then there is the way we often live with God because of our own desires, greed and sin. Lent is a a time to pause and stop to see where you are going wrong. What is the ultimate goal? If the goal is to grow in holiness, perhaps each of us need to trust God? Are we zealous for God or for our way of living?” (Mark Hart)
This podcast is an excellent foundation for a weekly Bible study focused on the readings throughout the liturgical year. These Bible studies can be at the parish, at a coffee shop or even on-line.
