“Having doubts about your faith is natural, but they cannot form or judgments about God. There is need in the world such as sickness, evil and darkness. These horrible events are not because a lack of God’s love but because of sin. When God doesn’t act on our time table it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love us. We can’t put God in a genie’s lamp to do our will when we want him to act on our behalf. If he did this he wouldn’t be God. The real question is if we trust God with every part of our lives. God will give us what we need, not always what we want. The Gospel tells us that the work of God is that you believe in the one God has sent…to go to Jesus with our deepest needs and hunger.” (Mark Hart)
This podcast is an excellent foundation for a weekly Bible study focused on the readings throughout the liturgical year. These Bible studies can be at the parish, at a coffee shop or even on-line.
