Sunday, Sunday, Sunday: The Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

30 Sep

The Life Teen Podcast is attached.  Readings for the Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time: Nm 11:25-29; Ps 19:8, 10, 12-13, 14; Jas 5:1-6; Mk 9:38-43, 45, 47-48.

“What is the purpose of our faith and who are we trying to serve?  Where are your priorities: on earth or towards heaven?  The Gospel this week finds Jesus helping us to look around and don’t lose perspective.  At the end of the day we must remember that our collective enemy is sin.  We are called to stand united against sin.  If we are in this for Christ, are rooted in humility and living Jesus, then we are standing against sin.”  (Mark Hart)

This podcast is an excellent foundation for a weekly Bible study focused on the readings throughout the liturgical year.  These Bible studies can be at the parish, at a coffee shop or even on-line.
